Each Bourbon batch is made from some of the finest bourbon in Kentucky and bottled at 117.8 Proof to bring out the most desirable bourbon flavor. Every new batch is an original with its own unique taste profile, carefully crafted by Master Blender John Rhea.

These highly sought after, artfully blended, craft bourbons have become an instant sensation and every batch sells out almost solely by word of mouth.

Introducing the next iteration: Batch #12

Batch #12 is blended utilizing very particular well aged, bold bourbons. 7-14 year old bourbons are blended with two different 4 year old bourbons to create this unique blend.

THE DISTILLERY

 

 Kentucky Owl® was founded by Charles Mortimer Dedman in 1879, operating until prohibition became law in 1916. At this point, the government seized some 250,00 gallons of Kentucky Owl®, taking it away for safekeeping.

One night, the warehouse where the illicit liquor was stored burned to the ground. Oddly, for a building filled with alcohol, the fire lasted only a matter of hours, leading many to suspect the entire Kentucky Owl® stock had been whisked away by organized crime to fuel their booming speakeasies. 

A hundred years later, the great, great-grandson of C.M Dedman revived the family business and set about blending a bourbon worthy of the Kentucky Owl® name. Six years of rigorous research and experimentation lead to the first new whiskey to carry the Kentucky Owl® name and since 2017 a series of unique batches have been produced to much acclaim.

TASTING NOTES

A pleasant rush of warm spice runs across the tongue along with a robust caramel & cream sensation filling all the taste buds; pleasantly melting into hints of passion fruit and spicy citrus. The finish is long and pleasant as the caramel & cream lingers like an unexpected invitation.
