Mossburn Single Malt Scotch Linkwood Distillery Vintage Casks No. 1 10 Yr is smooth and complex with an array of notes on the nose of anise, melted butter and just a smidgen of smoke. On the palate, you'll notice hints of oily barley, fresh pear, maple syrup and spearmint. Which leads you into a sweet and inviting finish filled with marmalade, black pepper and layers of honey. With its refreshing taste, this bourbon captures a remarkable innovation especially with the modern distillation of the interests. This elegant bourbon goes through an on going maturing process, giving it a particular character, depth, and flavor.

History
Mossburn Single Malt Scotch Linkwood Distillery Vintage Casks No. 1 10 Yr is a unique spirit crafted as a 10 year old single malt from Linkwood, independently bottled by Mossburn Distillers (owners of Torabhaig - an upcoming distillery on the Isle of Skye). It was set down to mature in 2007 and bottled a decade later in 2017. Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles. Mossburn Distillers & Blenders is a brand new Scotch whisky project owned by Marussia Beverages. The company is headquartered at Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders on the site of the former Jedforest Hotel. It is one of the first new distilleries to be built in the Borders for over 180 years. The first phase of development is construction of the Jedhart Distillery, a small distillery featuring three copper stills, five 5,000 square meter warehouse for pallets and casks and a small caf. The second phase is construction of the Mossburn Distillery and visitor centre, a large production facility with the capacity to produce 25 million litres of spirit per year. There will also be a larger caf and restaurant. Not content with these distilleries, Mossburn is also developing the Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye, the second distillery there after Highland Park. Obviously building a whisky distillery and waiting for whisky to come online the spirit has to be aged for at least 3 years before it can even be called whisky is a long term project. So, in the meantime, Mossburn have started the ball rolling by bottling a small collection of single malt whiskies and two blended malts, an Island and Speyside, with bespoke cask bills. The single malt bottlings are Ardmore, Blair Atholl, Craigellachie, Inchgower, Linkwood, Miltonduff and Teaninich.
